In the article of Fernando Alfonso et al titled "Revista Española de Cardiología 2009: Editorial Reflections," published in the number of December of Revista Española de Cardiología (Rev Esp Cardiol. 2009;62:1482-93), the following mistakes have been detected:

- Figure 4 (p. 1484): where it says: "Exponential growth in the number of manuscripts submitted directly in English" it should say: "Percentage of original articles accepted."

- Figure 5 (p. 1486): where it says: "Percentage of original articles accepted. *Data for 2009 include an estimate for Oct-Dec" it should say: "Exponential growth in the number of manuscripts submitted directly in English. *Data for 2009 include an estimate for Oct-Dec."

The Figures 4 and 5 of this article should have been published as follows:
